Youth divisions and privacy

Set an under-age eligibility rule (U16, U12…) on a division and it is automatically flagged as a youth division. Two protections switch on:

Guardian consent

The registration form adds a consent step: a parent or guardian ticks the box and gives their name. Entries without it can't be submitted. This sits alongside the standard privacy-consent checkbox every registrant ticks — on a youth division the guardian gives both.

Name privacy on public pages

Public dashboards, standings and share images show youth players as first name + initial ("Maya K"), never full names. Your organiser console and exports keep full names — the shortening applies only to what strangers can see.

You can change the display style per division, and making a youth division public asks you to confirm you hold guardian consent for the players it will show.

Common questions

We're a school — can we hide names entirely? Keep the division Private and share the dashboard link only with your community; link-only pages are not indexed by search engines.

Does the flag ever set itself wrongly? It derives from your eligibility rules and you can override it in the division settings.
