Registration
The waitlist
When a division fills, new entries queue — and promote automatically when a spot frees.
Set a capacity on registration and the division can never overfill. Entry number capacity + 1 is offered the waitlist instead of a rejection.
How it works
- Waitlisted players get a ticket like everyone else, marked WAITLIST, with their live status at their reference link — including their place in line ("You're #2 in line").
- The public division card shows the queue length too (full — waitlist: 3), so newcomers know what they're joining.
- When a confirmed entry withdraws, the first waitlisted entry promotes automatically — they're notified by email, and if the division has an entry fee, payment is collected at promotion (never while waiting).
- You can also promote manually: the console's Waitlist tab shows the numbered queue (#1 is next) with a Promote button per entry — or Waive fee & promote when a fee would otherwise be due.
Common questions
Do waitlisted players pay? No — money is only taken when a real spot is theirs.
Can I see the queue order? Yes — the Waitlist tab numbers the queue #1, #2, … oldest-first; that's the automatic promotion order, and each registrant sees their own position on their status page.
Can I close the waitlist? Closing registration stops new entries entirely; the existing queue keeps promoting on withdrawals until you withdraw the waitlisted entries too.
