AI credits

AI scheduling and officials run on prepaid credits, not a per-plan cap. Every plan gets a monthly grant that resets; bought packs and Event Pass credits never expire; a billing group shares one wallet.

What credits are

AI features — AI scheduling and AI officials — spend credits, on every plan. What a run costs depends on how big the job is: credits buy the model a thinking budget (1 credit → up to 32K tokens, 2 → 64K, 3 → 128K), the console shows the price before anything is spent, and you can adjust it. Scheduling several divisions in one run gets a batch discount of one credit. AI Schedule explains the sizing in full.

The Credits tab on your billing page (Plan & Billing → AI credits) is the home for your wallet: your balance, this month's grant, your packs, and the run history.

Your monthly grant

Every plan comes with a monthly grant that resets on the 1st of each month — use it or lose it:

  • Community — 10 credits a month
  • Pro — 60 credits a month
  • Pro Plus — 200 credits a month

The grant meter on the Credits tab shows how much of this month's grant you've used and when it resets. Unused grant credits don't roll over — the pool is topped back up to the full amount each month.

If a run fails before it produces anything usable it is not charged: the hold on your wallet is released and the run history shows the credits coming straight back, so a failed run never counts against your grant. A run that finishes — including one that reached its thinking budget and handed back a partial timetable — is charged what the card quoted.

If a subscription lapses — a payment more than 14 days overdue, a comp that has ended, or a cancelled plan — the monthly grant falls back to the Community 10 a month until it is back in good standing, and the Credits tab shows that lower figure.

Packs and Event Pass credits never expire

When your monthly grant runs low, you can buy a credit pack. Pack credits — and the one-time credits an Event Pass adds — go into a separate pool that never expires. AI runs always spend your monthly grant first, so a pack is only touched once the grant is gone. That way a pack you buy is never wasted while free grant credits remain.

To buy one, use Buy credits on the Credits tab. Pick a pack from the ladder — the larger packs include bonus credits for the same price per credit, and the top pack is marked best value — and pay. Packs are charged in your billing group's currency, and the credits land in your wallet as soon as the payment clears.

Shared across a billing group

Billing is group-level: one subscription can pay for several organisations. When it does, those organisations share one credit wallet — buy once, and any organisation in the group can spend from the pool. The monthly grant scales with the number of paid seats. The Credits tab shows a "shared across N organisations" note when your organisation is part of a group, and the run history records which organisation spent each credit.

What happens to the credits you already hold depends on whether they are yours alone. If your organisation is billed on its own, they move with you: joining a group merges your unspent balance straight into the shared pool — monthly-grant credits stay monthly-grant credits, purchased and earned credits stay in their own never-expiring pool, exactly as before. If you are already sharing a wallet with other organisations, that balance stays with them — it is the whole group's pool, not your share of it — and you join the new group with a fresh wallet.

Leaving a group depends on whether anyone is left to hold the pool. If other organisations remain on the group, you take no share with you — it is their pool, not your part of it — and your organisation goes back to its own bill with a fresh, empty wallet. If you are the last organisation to leave, the balance comes with you, bucket for bucket: there would be no group left to hold it otherwise.

Run history and export

The run history lists each grant, purchase and AI run, newest first, with the credit change for each. Use Export to download the full history as a CSV.

Auto-topup

Automatic top-ups — buying a pack automatically when your balance runs low — are coming soon. For now the Credits tab shows auto-topup as off; you can top up manually with a credit pack any time.

Invite & earn credits

The Credits tab also has your Invite & earn card, with your own shareable link. Share it with another organiser:

  • They earn 10 credits once they publish their first competition (with at least one division) — a welcome credit for running something real, not just for signing up.
  • When that organisation goes on to run its first paid competition, you earn 20 credits.

Both grants land straight in the credit wallet, on top of whatever the plan already grants. Referral earnings are bounded by a lifetime cap shared with other earned-credit rewards, so a very active referrer eventually tops out — the card always shows how many organisations you've referred and how many credits you've earned so far.
