Getting started
Add a division
Divisions are where the games happen — one sport, one format, one set of entrants.
A division is a single draw inside your competition: "Men's A", "U14 Mixed", "Office Ping-Pong". Each division has one sport, one entrant kind (teams, individuals or pairs) and one format.
The division wizard
- Open your competition and press Add division.
- Pick the sport and variant — this decides how matches are scored.
- Pick who plays: teams, individuals or pairs.
- Choose a format — league, knockout, groups + knockout, and more. Not sure? Press How this works next to any format for a diagram and a live example, or read the format guides.
- Review and create. Nothing is locked until you start scoring, so experiment freely.
Common questions
Can I change the format later? Yes, up until the division starts. After that the structure is locked so results stay fair.
How many entrants can I add? Per division: 64 on Community, 256 on Pro, unlimited on Pro Plus. An Event Pass lifts one competition on its own, and it comes in two sizes — 128 under the M size, no limit at all under L.
How many divisions can a competition have? 4 on Community, 10 under an M pass, 20 under an L pass, and as many as you like on Pro. Archiving a division gives its slot back only if that division never recorded a result — archive and delete has the detail. A division you set up wrongly and never played costs you nothing to throw away.
The wizard refused my division — why? It names which of two things happened. "This competition is finished, so no new divisions can be added to it" means the competition's status is completed or archived; set it back to Live if the event is still running, or start next season's competition (finishing a competition). An upgrade panel instead means the division limit is full — and when archived divisions are what's filling it, the panel says so underneath (archive and delete).
